Behind-the-ear systems

An almost invisible tube connects the hearing aid, which is behind the ear, with the individually manufactured ear mold.

According to its miniature design the latest generation of hearing aids don´t need a tube but have a wire which is connected to a speaker right in the auditory canal.

By no means can it be said that the behind-the-ear design is antiquated. According to the individual anatomic condition of the auditory canal as well as the hearing loss not everybody can be       provided with an in in-the-ear hearing aid. Modern behind-the-ear designs are smaller and more powerful than in-the-ear systems.

Advantages of behind-the-ear systems:

  • More technical possibilities
  • Long-living
  • Low-maintenance
  • Easy to handle
  • Lower battery consumption
  • Less acoustic feedback
